The second IOA YOWA conference was held in Kolkata. It was a gathering of young orthopedic surgeons with special involvement from the women’s army of the IOA. It was an absolute pleasure of mine to be the program convener, along with the young and energetic Udeepto.
We saw excellent academic discussions by esteemed national and local faculty from all over India. Some of them missed the in-person event due to an Indigo hurdle, though they still managed to join via Zoom and shared their expertise. I moderated a panel discussion on proximal humerus fractures and was a panelist in a few other sessions. Many thanks to Meyer Pharma for being our academic partner. It was an eventful day.
